The new social media hype app Clubhouse icon. The mobile application is now free and no advertisements are displayed to the user.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, various social media apps have positively gained from it.

The audio social network, Clubhouse, is paving the way for creators to start getting paid through tipping, tickets, or subscriptions. One of the criticisms of the app is its exclusivity. No stories, no fleets, no snaps, and no photos.

In fact, you can see Clubhouse as an app that is more natural, as you have to share your emotions or feelings via the most powerful expressing tool, your voice. You can not hide your emotions behind those fake smiles in your photos. So far, the audio app is only available for iPhone devices.

Finally, in terms of other social-media platforms, Facebook secured major label gaming licenses in September of 2020. Soon Android users will also be able to use it.

Approximately two million individuals utilized Clubhouse last week, the app's founders also indicated in the post, before noting that this latest round, like the Series A, was led by Menlo Park-based venture firm Andreessen Horowitz (and specifically partner Andrew Chen). "With this in mind, we are thrilled to begin work on our Android app soon, and to add more accessibility and localization features so that people all over the world can experience Clubhouse in a way that feels native to them", the company said in an official blog post.

The platform has grown a lot lately, according to the parent company, and 2020 itself brought a massive increase in the number of users joining Clubhouse. The company has a great opportunity to become even more popular. "Much of a new round of funding will go into technology and infrastructure to scale the clubhouse experience for everyone, so it's always fast and reliable no matter how many people attend".

More plans for the app include its compatibility for Android app since it's still on the iOS for now. Plus, the platform plans on bolstering its servers as well as its support and moderation teams, besides improving its discovery functions.

The new grant will not only reward creators to join Clubhouse and help popularize the app, but it will also help the platform make some money in the process. So nice move Clubhouse.
