Update: Epic Games have officially announced the crew pack. Beginning with Season 5 on December 2, players will be able to sign up for Fortnite Crew for a monthly rate of $11.99.

Today, the publisher announced a new model created to deliver reoccurring payments, in addition to its standard micro transactions - offering up a discount on some of its virtual wares in the process. In return, they'll immediately have access to the premium Battle Pass for Season 5, as well as a monthly Crew Pack, which will include full skins and other exclusive cosmetics. The 1,000 V-Bucks included now costs $9.99 as well. The Fortnite Crew Pack items won't be added to the Item Shop, though.

The outfit bundle, named the Fortnite Crew Pack, will always contain a new and exclusive outfit plus at least one matching accessory such as a glider, pickaxe, or emote.

Get the Battle Pass and a slew of other bonuses from Fortnite's new subscription service. The first will be Galaxia, a cosmic-themed outfit, alongside a pickaxe and back bling. It's certainly significantly pricier than just going in for the standard battle pass, which runs a couple of bucks less and generally lasts a few months or so.

The countdown is now showing that the event will take place on Tuesday, 1 December at 4pm EST / 9pm GMT.

The original date was December 3rd, giving speculation that another Black Hole event could be happening as Galactus devours the Chapter 2 map. Once Chapter 2: Season 5 is out, we'll let our readers know.
