He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.

Cincinnati's rookie quarterback Joe Burrow tweeted fans "See ya next year" hours after he was carted off the field in the Bengals' 20-9 National Football League loss to Washington with a left knee injury. Players from both teams stayed out of the field as he was taken off. The rookie out of LSU went down with a left knee injury after he was hit throwing the ball. He was on pace to become the first rookie in league history to have six 300-yard passing games in his first 10 games. The 23-year-old entered the game with 2,485 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions in nine starts.

Not long after he was carted off the field against Washington, Burrow indicated on Twitter that the injury will keep him out for the remainder of the year. Going into Sunday's game, Burrow had been hit a league-high 72 times. Can't get rid of me that easy. "See ya next year✊", he tweeted.
