This makes 28 new total cases (27 positive and one presumptive) since last Sunday, for a total of 315 with COVID-19. There have now been a total of 48,678 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland. The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced on Saturday that 2,521 new Hoosiers had tested positive for coronavirus on Friday.

The new state report raises the seven-day average of new infections close to 2,800, a figure that had dropped under 2,300 in late September and early October, when the state lifted restrictions on restaurants and the largest school districts began welcoming students.

As of midnight Friday, 16 October, the HPSC has been notified of 1,276 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

All had underlying health conditions.
