Peaceful transfer, I absolutely want it, says Trump at town hall meeting

Donald Trump told voters in Macon, Georgia that the humiliation of losing to Joe Biden would be so great that he might leave the country.

What do the polls show?

Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden, his wife Jill Biden, U.S. Senator and Democratic candidate for Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Douglas Emhoff celebrate after Joe Biden accepted the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination during the 4th and final night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, as participants from across the country are hosted over video links from the originally planned site of the convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. August 20, 2020. "We also know that even the best polling can be wrong, and that variables like turnout mean that in a number of critical states we are functionally tied - and that we need to campaign like we're trailing".

"This race is far closer than some of the punditry we're seeing on Twitter and on TV would suggest", Dillon wrote.

President Trump on Saturday, Oct. 17, attended a rally in Muskegon County.

According to The New York Times, Dillon made a similar pleas urging grass-roots supporters to beat back complacency during a call with Biden backers on Friday.

"Please take the fact that we are not ahead by double digits", Dillon said. "Those are inflated national public polling numbers".

The Biden town hall reached 14.1 million people on ABC between 8 and 9 p.m. and Trump had 13.5 million combined on NBC, CNBC and MSNBC, the Nielsen company said.

It is 17 days until the presidential election.
