The return of Borderlands, with their most recent title Borderlands 3, was one of the most surprising and desired entries in tot the highly stylized franchise.
It was fair to assume that development on Borderlands 3 had wrapped up. Transmission announced today that there will be a second season pass, boasting 2 new add- ons, the Designer's Cut and Director's Cut.
Two DLCs for the pass have been announced: the Designer's Cut and Director's Cut add-ons.
The Designer's Cut DLC, specifically, will feature a new skill tree for every Vault Hunter, along with a new "Arms Race" game mode. The next add-on will be coming in Spring 2021 and more details will be coming closer to launch.
Additionally, 2K and Gearbox have also confirmed that a next-gen update for Borderlands 3 is on the way and will be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a free upgrade.
The group's arrangements for the fate of Borderlands 3 were enlightened in an ongoing blog entry on the Borderlands site.
Details beyond that are scarce for the moment, but Gearbox is planning on a full reveal over the course of several stream events.
October 20, 9:00 AM PT - Amara and FL4K new Skill Tree reveals with Borderlands Creator Team livestreams. Fans can expect new vault hunter skins along with the DLC expansions that will be revealed at a later date.
The Borderlands 3 Season Pass 2 will be available to buy from the 10th of November, with the Designer's Cut releasing on the same day.
