Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham Hotspurs have leapfrogged Manchester United

Man Utd Considering A Move For Inter’s Ivan Perisic As Back-Up Plan To BVB’s Jadon Sancho UK Media Claims

Here’s why Man United are hesitating about signing Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have so far been reluctant to accept Real Madrid's buy-back clause demands for Sergio Reguilon.

Borussia Dortmund are refusing to budge from their asking price for Sancho which exceeds the €100 million mark and this has prompted the Premier League club to consider alternatives to him.

Reports emerged on Tuesday morning that Manchester United had a firm interest in the 23-year-old full-back with the Guardian claiming that the Old Trafford club were readying a bid for the Spain worldwide.

Reguilon was one of Sevilla's best players a year ago in a season which saw them win the Europa League and finish fourth in La Liga.

The former Southampton winger still looks likely to only leave Real Madrid on his terms and suitors will need to make sure he is happy to take whatever package they put forward.

The Mail report that the Real Madrid full-back could attract even more interest in the coming weeks but Manchester United and Spurs are leading the race.

The 23-year-old would prefer a move to Old Trafford but United have yet to agree to Real's demands for the buy-back clause, something Spurs have accepted as part of negotiations with the Spanish giants.

The 5ft 10ins defender scored three times in 38 games in all competitions in the 2019-20 season at Sevilla, ending up winning the Europa League. The player was on the verge of signing for Chelsea last month, but was already being tracked by Spurs as well as Manchester United and a number of other top European clubs.

The Spain global has made 22 appearances for Real Madrid, although most of his career has been spent playing for their reserve team apart from a loan at Logrones.
