In the midst of a global pandemic, the sight of Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston together has given fans some relief.

The first photo from the table read, which will now air Friday, Sept. 17, was released on Monday.

Take a deep breath, Brad and Jennifer fans: A new photo just emerged of the former couple reuniting on screen, as part of the Fast Times at Ridgemont High virtual table read. Alongside Aniston, Pitt, and Cook, the table read will also star (another deep breath): John Legend, Julia Roberts, Morgan Freeman, Matthew McConaughey, Henry Golding, Shia LaBeouf, Jimmy Kimmel, Ray Liotta, and original Fast Times cast member Sean Penn. Julia Roberts came in within that first week or two, and within 10 days, I knew that this could go the distance. In terms of casting and how we wanted it to come together, there's some expectation of what kind of person should be playing this role or that role.

The live table read will stream via the Facebook and TikTok pages of Penn's organisation, CORE, on 21 August, at 8 pm ET, as well as via LiveXLive. 'I'm always game for a giggle, ' he said when announcing the fundraiser. "So to gather remotely for a night of laughs with so many talented folks while providing CORE with much-needed resources to continue our vital work - then consider us fully onboard to play!"

It's now unclear which characters the actors will be playing, as both Aniston and Pitt were not part of the original cast.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High director Amy Heckerling and screenwriter Cameron Crowe will be making a special introduction before handing things over to the cast on Friday's virtual event.

The event, which is officially titled Dane Cook Presents Feelin' A-Live, was initially delayed due to technical difficulties. The two largely stayed out of their respective circles but crossed paths earlier this year at the Screen Actors Guild Awards when the Friends actress picked up a trophy for her leading roll in the Apple TV+ series The Morning Show.
