‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Trailer: ‘Wherever I Go, He Goes’

Watch the first official trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2, premiering October 30 on Disney+

The Mandalorian season two begins streaming on Friday, October 30 via Disney Plus. "The Mandalorian" stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito".

While not much else is revealed, it's already known that Season 2 will feature Timothy Olyphant in some form or fashion, Rosario Dawson as "Clone Wars" character Ahsoka Tano, and Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett.

We open on a dirt-coloured planet and as another blue-coloured planet zooms into view, Mando's spaceship Razor Crest drifts in. It sounds like the main action will focus on Mando trying to reunite Baby Yoda with the rest of his species - not without difficulty, of course.

"The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore the Great and an order of sorcerers called Jedi", says the Mandalorian clan leader, the Armorer, strongly suggesting that Baby Yoda belongs with their former foes.

We get a blink-and-you-miss-it glance at a hooded character played by Sasha Banks, though it's unclear if that means she's a Jedi. You can check out both the art and the trailer embedded below.

A new trailer was released for the show on Tuesday and in one scene, Banks can be seen in a cloak. After the freshman season told a largely standalone story with teasing connections to the wider Star Wars mythos, The Mandalorian collaborators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni now seem poised to tear into the Holocron with relish. He has also directed The Mandalorian season 2 episode 1.
