Billie Eilish has had a successful previous year with her multiple Grammy wins, James Bond theme song, and a sold-out tour, and with her recent release and online performances, it seems she is having a successful quarantine as well. The song video is an animated affair. It starts with an animated version of Billie, with the green highlight and the shining eyes. Lyrically, the track discusses her optimistic view of the future and the happiness she finds in her independence.
A lot extra fans had been showering reward on her new launch, with one admirer declaring in regards to the music video, "It is a piece of artwork Billie". I'm not coming home. Can't wait to meet her. Talking in regards to the tune on launch day, Eilish revealed, "We wrote this on the very starting of quarantine", that means she had been sprucing the glistening tune for some time.
In May, Eilish also released NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY a 4-minute short film discussing her body image and the societal pressures society places on young women.
"I'm mean it's cool but I just didn't have anything to base it on - never been to Ireland, ye know, I didn't know anything really. When we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at - hopeful, excited and a insane amount of self-reflection and self-growth", the 18-year-old singer said.
While the song was written at the beginning of quarantine, the lyrics have aged beautifully: "I know supposedly I'm lonely now (lonely now) / Know I'm supposed to be unhappy / Without someone (someone) / But aren't I someone?" But right now, what's most important to her is having love for herself. Hope you enjoy this song.
