Beyonce's Visual Ode, 'Black Is King,' Arrives

Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé has hyped up her new Black Is King visual album - set to premiere on Disney Plus today - with her new "Already" music video premiere.

The Grammy victor, 38, included a special shout-out in the Friday, July 31, Disney+ special to her son, 2.

Whether you're a member of the BeyHive or a fan of the Disney's live action film The Lion King, you won't want to miss Black is King this summer on Disney Plus. "Dedicated to my son, Sir Carter", the singer wrote. It's here! Beyoncé's highly anticipated visual album Black Is King just dropped on Disney+.

She called the visually stunning album her "passion project" and a "labor of love".

Husband Jay-Z, daughter Blue Ivy, and twin babies Rumi and Sir all make cameos, and Blue Ivy makes her singing debut. "A story of how the people left most broken have an extraordinary gift and a purposeful future".

The 85-minutes long feature includes skits, music and choreography filmed in New York, Los Angeles, South Africa, West Africa, Belgium and London.

On Instagram, Beyoncé shared that the film is meant to "celebrate the breadth and beauty of Black ancestry", and acknowledged that its release takes on new significance in the current climate. Other famous faces to appear include Kelly Rowland, Pharrell Williams, Lupita Nyong'o, and Naomi Campbell.

"We're grateful to Beyonce for this celebration of the black experience", tweeted black culture website essence.com. The 8-year-old sang the introduction to 'Brown Skin Girl, ' which had viewers excited to see more.
