Ian Poulter admits to farting during Travelers Championship

Ian Poulter creates his own 'breezy conditions' on the first tee

Ian Poulter FARTS live on TV seconds after playing partner Greg Chalmers tees off in PGA Tour event

Poulter proceeded to ask the cameraman: 'Did you get that?', before giggling broke out between the pair.

The world No.59 shot a closing 69 in CT to finish 64th, but the round will be best remembered for the 44-year-old letting rip on the opening tee just after his playing partner Greg Chalmers had teed off. Poulter asked the cameraman on the course.

Veteran pro Poulter was caught on camera loudly passing gas during the final round of The Travelers Championship in CT this past weekend.

"I guess it's one way to protect social distancing", Poulter said.

Unfortunately, that means if you let rip a giant fart when doing so, it's likely to be heard - especially when you're wearing a microphone.

The focus was soon on Poulter, who hammered his drive long and straight, and Chalmers also split the fairway moments before the Englishman managed to create what he later described as a "three-club wind".

During the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in CT on Sunday, the camera was focused on fellow golfer Greg Chalmers, and after he took a swing, viewers tuning in could hear a loud noise, which turned out to be a fart.

Australian Chalmers then told him: 'Stay over there. "Always beware of the live mic", the 44-year-old posted on Twitter.

Never let it be said that golfer Ian Poulter isn't a good sport.

"3 club wind this morning on the first tee".

Glad he saw the amusing side.
