North Dakota reports 27 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths

It's been more than three weeks since the state has had more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases in a single day.

Updated municipality data was not yet provided on the county site.

The low level of cases this week should help Clark County's chances to enter Phase 2, which the county applied for Tuesday night for the second time. There were 59 additional confirmed deaths, 35 in Cook County. Additional changes are expected to be announced later today.

The overarching goal for restrictions for the stay at home order has been to slow the spread of disease so cases can be effectively managed with the resources available. There is now a total of 4,990.

To date, 968 Hancock County residents have been tested for the virus, according to Hancock Public Health.

19 people have died, but 569 people have recovered from the virus. The county has a total of 363 cases. Numbers vary from state and health departments due to data lags.

Older adults continued to be particularly at risk of death. The rest is in yellow, and more will move to green on Friday. "Wearing a mask, continuing to maintain social distancing, and washing your hands frequently are all steps we can take to help protect others, including our most vulnerable Pennsylvanians, our essential workers and our healthcare system".
