Police thrashed a man after heated argument over wearing of mask in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. George Floyd died of suffocation after the cop, amid Floyd also being infected with Covid, in a similar manner in the above video placed his knee on the former's neck for eight minutes despite complaints from Floyd of not being able to breathe.

However, unlike the unfortunate incident in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the cops in Jodhpur reportedly acted after the person, who is said to be specially abled, turned violent after being confronted by the police.

The incident was compared by many on social media to the police brutality on George Floyd, a black man who died after an officer pinned him to the ground with his knee in Minneapolis. A video of a police official kneeling on the neck of a man has been widely circulated on social media. He was pronounced dead later in the hospital, triggering widespread protests across the US.

The viral video shows four to five policemen from the Pratapnagar Police Station thrashing and manhandling the man who was later identified as Mukesh Kumar.

Meanwhile, the SHO of Dev Nagar police station, Somkaran, said that the police were issuing a challan to Prajapat when he attacked them and tore their uniform. The police said that the man is of aggressive nature and has an old case registered against him for beating his father and damaging his eye. Action is bein initiated against Prajapat under the Epidemic Act, they added.
