Kandi Burruss Becomes The First Woman To Ever Win 'The Masked Singer'

The singer, songwriter, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star excitedly took to Instagram to make the announcement on Wednesday (May 21). "It feels great", Kandi told Elle DeGeneres in her first post-show interview. "I have to do it, '" the RHOA star explained. "But thank you. The celebrity's performance of "Rise Up" by Andra Day gave her devout followers Xscape vibes. "This show made me apply that to my own life", Kandi said. Another of Kandi's followers wrote, "That's Kandi, man. Y'all can't tell me that's not Kandi".

The victor of Season 3 was Night Angel, who took off her mask and revealed she was Kandi Burruss, best known for being part of the girl group Xscape and a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. "I did what I had to do because I'm a mother". I had picked a different costume out of the three and though I wasn't sure, I was like, 'Okay, this should be cool.' And then they came back and were like, 'Actually, we have this other one that if you want to try it. "Like, I actually dropped a new single right now and I'm super excited about it", she said.
