Those are expected to be available in later stages of the Ontario government's provincial re-opening process.

The city of Orillia will reopen some park amenities to the public as the warm weather beckons more residents outdoors.

All City of London off-leash dog parks are open for public use. Locally, the Beach Skatepark and the Beaches Disc Golf Course are among those amenities now open again.

Fourteen skateboard parks opened yesterday, and all 150 basketball courts are scheduled to open this weekend, along with picnic shelters, 300 baseball diamonds and 300 outdoor fields. Jacob Myers Park was also reopened but had limited entry with social distancing required in the open spaces.

The skate park will remain closed due to a lack of ability to maintain physical distancing at that park. Also, many parks' parking lots will also reopen this week at parks across the city.

Londoners looking to get outdoors can now use the city's parks and sports facilities. Only members of the same household can play any kind of team sports together right now. Permits from the city for soccer, multi-use fields, and baseball diamonds regarding team activities remain cancelled until June 29. River Road Golf Course will remain closed until further notice.

The bad news is that they're all still closed, along with playgrounds, play structures and equipment, and outdoor fitness equipment.

"While visiting a park, people must continue to practise physical distancing". Locally, this means Dentonia Park Golf Course on Victoria Park Avenue is open.

"This is great news for all Toronto residents who enjoy our parks".

The reopening of park amenities will continue into next week, as staff work with Toronto Public Health to open lawn bowling facilities and outdoor bocce.
