After Uttar Pradesh, the Haryana government declared period-drama "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" tax-free in the state. Ajay Devgn's film is nearing the coveted feat within a week. Even though we wait to see if that indeed turns out to be the case, rest assured, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior would emerge as at least the second biggest grosser of Devgn's illustrious career. The total five-day box office collection now stands at Rs. 90.06 crore.
The fantastic box office collection of Tanhaji on Tuesday came at the back of its earnings in the Gujarat and Saurashtra circuit, where the collections spiked to the Sunday levels. The holiday in several parts of the country has helped the movie. Yesterday, the film earned 2.61 crores which is a considerable drop compared to opening day's 4.77 crores. The movie has given Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak tough competition at the Box Office, to the extent that the movie's collections have come to a standstill. Rajinikanth's Darbar and Mahesh Babu's Sarileru Neekevvaru have taken the domestic and the global markets by storm.

As mentioned in the tweet, Ajay Devgn, who is also the producer of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, requested the Government to allow the film some tax exemptions, as the makers wanted to spread the heroic tale of the assassinated warrior.
The film depicts Tanhaji's attempts to recapture the Kondhana fortress once it passes on to the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb who transfers its control to his trusted guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore.
