Brad Marchand surpasses the record in shooting, Boston Bruins loses

Brad Marchand cost the Bruins a game with the worst penalty shootout 'attempt' you'll ever see

Watch: Bruins lose shootout after Marchand overskates puck

The teams square off Wednesday for the first time this season.

Louis Blues after Travis Sanheim scored two goals in the Flyers' 6-5 shootout victory against the Bruins.

Brad Marchand will want to forget this.

"I was just trying to get going and just missed it", Marchand said.

"You touch him on a penalty kick and that's your shot. Unfortunate. It's a tough way to lose on a play like that". Bunnaman has experience at the center position, which is an area the Flyers have been lacking in lately in the bottom two lines and was riding a three-game point streak with the Phantoms prior to his call up, as well.

NOTES: Halak stopped 34 shots and Hart made 26 saves. Alex Pietrangelo has collected 12 points over the last 10 games for St. Louis.

The Bruins are 18-5-8 in conference play.

Flyers: 4-5-1, averaging 2.8 goals, 4.3 assists, 3.2 penalties and 6.6 penalty minutes while giving up 3.5 goals per game with a.883 save percentage.

Sanheim scored the tying goal at 4-on-4, and Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy was unhappy with how they handled pressure from the Flyers.

"We've got three different guys circling out of there; it's inexcusable", he said.

Krejci scored his 10th of the season to make it 2-0 with 3: 11 left in the first, finishing a handsome tic-tac-toe passing play with a one-timer from just inside the post to extend Boston's club-record streak with a power-play tally to 14 consecutive games.

It was the 14th straight game the Bruins scored on the power play.

"They're a great team over there", Hayes said. "To go down three goals and come back and play the way we did to win the game, it's a springboard of the good things coming up".
