Superman & Lois Ordered to Series at The CW, as Arrow Nears Its End

For example, the Supergirl spinoff Superman and Lois, which was announced back in October, has scored a straight-to-series order from the network (this news comes from Variety), which is also pursuing an Arrow spinoff via a backdoor pilot episode on January 21.

Both Superman and Lois and the revamped Walker, Texas Ranger are still in the scripting stage, but are expected to begin shooting their pilot episodes in the spring.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch, in the titular roles, reprising the parts they've been playing in the Arrowverse for the past few seasons and crossovers. Based on the characters from DC created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the pilot will be written and executive-produced by Todd Helbing (The Flash), Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns will also serve as EPs on the project from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Berlanti and Helbing are now under overall deals.

The Arrow-verse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths concludes tonight, promising changes across the entire DCCW Universe, but fans already know one major change to next year's 2020-2021 Arrow-verse TV show lineup. He has primarily appeared as the character on "Supergirl" but has also popped up in "The Flash", "Arrow", and "Legends of Tomorrow".

The project will allow Padalecki to smoothly transition off of "Supernatural", which is now wrapping its run on the network after 15 seasons.

Anna Fricke is attached to write and executive produce the new series.

Here's the logline for the series... hopefully you all are as excited as we are!
