The Hustlers actress, 50, spoke to Vanity Fair about whether she regretted turning down movie roles in the past and Lopez wasn't shy about holding back. "And it was offered to me and the script, for me, wasn't all the way there", the actress told the publication.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, although she was snubbed for an Academy Award nomination.

Parasite, the buzzy film directed by Bong Joon-Ho, was also a favorite of The Academy: It received six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best International Feature Film.

The performer explained that the role went to the ideal actress, but she still thinks about the missed opportunity.

Instead, Lopez starred in two movies released in 2002: Michael Apted's thriller Enough and Wayne Wang's hit romantic comedy Maid in Manhattan, which grossed $163.8 million worldwide. "That is the challenge of it for me, but also the thrill of it for me".

To date, Unfaithful remains Lyne's last film to hit theaters, though he is now working on another thriller, Deep Water, starring Lopez's ex Ben Affleck and Knives Out's Ana de Armas.

Whether she was making a statement with the lighter hair (or just trying a potential SuperBowl look on for size), this new color coming after the Oscars snubs is a much-needed reminder that J. Lo will always be J. Lo - and that's already a win.
