On Tuesday, the seven-piece K-pop juggernaut told their global fan community Weverse it would launch a new album, Map Of The Soul: 7, on Feb 21.
Not only did the post confirm February 21 as the official release date, but that the record's first, and now untitled, single will drop next Friday, Jan. 17. As per the latest media reports, BTS has been working since the month of October, when they released a new version of Make It Right and I Like Me Better alongside singer and songwriter named Lauv.
A "comeback trailer" will follow on February 3, as well as the full tracklisting details on February 17.
The comeback map highlights cities including London, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Seoul, and New York City tied to dates for the comeback trailer but no explanation as to how the locations are involved. The album is the sequel to the act's Billboard 200 chart-topper EP Map of the Soul: Persona, released in April past year. Since the well-known band Beatles, BTS is the only band to release 3 albums in a year.

The announcement was made via the group's official interactive application, Weverse. The group's loyal ARMY also shared their excited reactions.

Anticipation remains high as fans are eager to find out what Map Of The Soul: "7, the second part of Map Of The Soul, will offer", said BTS' agency, Big Hit Entertainment, in a statement.
