Maneater Gets a Release Date

Tripwire Interactive LLC is coming out with their latest game that will let you pretend that you're a bloodthirsty shark waiting to hurt anyone or eat anything that comes in your way.

Maneater features a sprawling open-world to explore, with sunken wrecks, swamps, and more to explore as you avoid numerous throats, including Scaly Pete, a TV reality host who just happens to hate sharks.

The game is due to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 22nd May 2020, with a Nintendo Switch release coming later down the line. You can check out the trailer below!

As you can see from the trailer, it's nothing if not savagely violent - they way Samuel L. Jackson went in classic shark shlockfest Deep Blue Sea seems to be par for the course in Maneater. Your only tools are your wits, your jaws, and an uncanny ability to evolve as you feed.

"We continue to be blown away by the interest and excitement fans have for Maneater", said John Gibson, CEO and Co-owner of Tripwire Interactive.

"We are delighted to re-new our partnership with Tripwire Interactive and to team up for the upcoming launch of Maneater". Tripwire and Deep Silver have not revealed whether the game will come out on Steam at a later date.

Those who pre-order the game will be handed the Tiger Shark Adaptation. This evolution will allow you to "digest almost anything", which will increase your ability to gain "vital nutrients" from your prey.
