A suspect has been arrested in the stabbing of National Football League free agent Terrelle Pryor.
The 24-year-old woman's booking photo was released, and she appears to have a slight smirk on her face. Briston is facing two felony criminal charges - aggravated assault and attempted homicide.
Pryor was stabbed in the shoulder and chest. Pryor and Briston were "mutual combatants" in the dispute, Pittsburgh police said.
He was reportedly in stable condition after surgery, CNN reports.
As we previously reported, Pryor and Briston have been dating for about a year - and a witness told police their relationship has been "volatile at times" and that Pryor is "always putting his hands on Ms. Briston".
Briston, who is from Munhall, Pennsylvania, was arrested for the alleged stabbing, the bureau said in a statement after consulting with the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, CNN reports.
A witness states that Pryor was the aggressor in the fight between him and Briston.
Pryor lived but would later get arrested and charged with assault.
Pittsburgh Police said that they found a semi-automatic pistol in the front passenger seat of Pryor's Mercedes-Benz, along with a lot of blood inside his vehicle and inside his apartment.
Jail officials tell us Briston is now in police custody at the Allegheny County Jail and bail has been denied.
