Today, Hulu released the official teaser trailer for the new season of Hulu's hit original comedy Shrill, starring Aidy Bryant! That is, until she realizes that hastily quitting her job and jumping into a relationship with someone who is, well, a little less career-focused may not have been the best idea.
The trouble is that she's still got to face the same complications as everyone else trying to make it as a writer, like getting a job offer for an unpaid internship.
If Shrill's first season was about one woman's journey to self-acceptance, it appears its second season is about what comes after that.
Apparently that involves going to the woods for a little rendez-vous with Ryan - until they're awkwardly interrupted by a wandering pack of Boy Scouts. In typical Annie fashion, we will see our star go on new adventures that she has never through before, but of course some will have disastrous outcomes.
Still, she likes her new process for self-discovery.
Annie (Aidy Bryant) is ready to make some big moves when Shrill returns next year.
"It's been so overwhelming and I think I really thought I was making this small show for, you know, fat ladies who felt unseen or whatever and it's really been overwhelming because pretty much anyone with a body can relate to some element of it", she said on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" in March.
Season 2 of "Shrill", executive produced by "SNL" showrunner Lorne Michaels and "Charlie's Angels" filmmaker Elizabeth Banks, will premiere January 24 on Hulu. The show is executive produced by SNL showrunner Lorne Michaels and Charlie's Angels filmmaker Elizabeth Banks.
