Plans to offer Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Gunfight in both a 1v1 and 3v3 mode are coming "at some point".
Confirmation came from Twitter when one user asked Infinity Ward's co-design director of multiplayer Joe Cecot whether there were any plans to include 3v3 to the mode.
Gunfight now features 2v2 "multi-round cage matches" in which players have the same loadout, which switches every two rounds.
We played Gunfight way back at E3 2019 in June, and were immediately enraptured with how much fun it was.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Season 1 is just a day away and it brings with it the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history. Gunfight, for those yet to check it out, is a new Vs. mode where teams of two face off on small, localised maps. There are also three classic maps returning to rotation in the forms of Crash, Vacant and Shipment.
