Set to return to his old stomping ground

Midfielder Thomas Partey played the entire duration as Atletico Madrid lost narrowly at the Wanda Metropolitano against Barcelona.

The Barcelona legend worked a lovely one-two with Luis Suarez at the top of the box and slotted it into the bottom-left corner to see Barcelona through with a 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid. It helped that Atleti managed to put just two of its 17 shots on target, with Alvaro Morata only managing to test the keeper once in his six efforts.

After the match, the Catalan giants posted a tweet on Twitter, in which they revealed that the Argentina superstar had now scored a goal at all 20 stadiums being used in LaLiga this season.

The Argentine settled a pulsating and tense encounter in the 86th minute, galloping down the right wing before cutting inside and playing a one-two with Luis Suarez before guiding the ball into the bottom corner.

The diminutive forward's strike also ensured that Barca returned to summit of the LaLiga table, ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid on goal difference.
