Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Julianne Hough co-star in the "Jolene" episode, a storyline in which Parton takes on the role of Babe, the owner of the honky-tonk where the titular character (played by Hough) works.
Of course, Cyrus and Parton have a great relationship - Dolly Parton is her godmother, for one, and they've performed the song on more than a few high-profile occasions.
"Songs, they're just stories put to music", says Parton in the trailer. "It's the sound of my heartstrings".
Dolly Parton's Heartstrings will tell the stories behind some of Parton's most beloved songs, including Two Doors Down, If I Had Wings, J.J. Sneed, These Old Bones, Down From Dover, Sugar Hill, Cracker Jack and Jolene.
Netflix has released the trailer for Dolly Parton's Heartstrings, an upcoming eight-part series that will pair songs by the country music star with episodic stories.
Joining the 73-year-old songstress will be veteran actresses Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, Delta Burke, Melissa Leo and Julianne Hough. "This is where it all started". This is who I am. This is where I came from.
She added of Julianne's fit for the role: "All she had to do was put on this handsome red hair and she was the most handsome Jolene you could ever, ever get".
Netflix first announced the collaboration with Parton in 2018.
