"In early 2020, The Outer Worlds will be released for Nintendo Switch".
We know that The Outer Worlds will eventually be released on the Nintendo Switch console but what we want to know right now is when it will be arriving.
It's been revealed that the recently released sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds has been a critical and commercial success, exceeding the expectations of Private Division, the game's publisher. Our The Outer Worlds review scored it an 8.5, calling it a "creative and well-made [RPG] that's both familiar and new all at once".
Now, thanks to further precision given in Take Two's investor call, that's going to be before the end of the publisher's current financial year, meaning March 2020 at the latest.
That will likely be the last time Take-Two are the ones reporting on sales from Obsidian's new franchise as the studio is now a part of Microsoft and The Outer Worlds IP is still part of their portfolio.
At another point during the call, Take-Two said that sales of the game have exceeded expectations.
"A critical and commercial success, The Outer Worlds is exceeding our expectations and reviews have been outstanding, with GameSpot giving the game 9 out of 10, Game Informer 9.25 out of 10, and EGM a flawless 5 out of 5". Are you planning to pick up the Switch version of The Outer Worlds or are you content with one of the other versions already available?
