In this week's #FitnessFriday post, Berry showed off the progress she's made in preparation for her role in the upcoming mixed martial arts drama Bruised, which the Oscar victor, 53, is also directing. In the pic, a sweaty, smiling Halle shows off her insanely ripped abs. He even says that she's a "top-level" athlete in every sense of the word, which is a huge compliment considering Bar is the Director of Performance for the New York Knicks.
Halle Berry is looking abs-olutely incredible these days. "I finally got them, and it feels unbelievable", wrote Halle, proving to the world that, yes, she is absolutely shredded.
To her awestruck fans Berry added, "I encourage you guys to set your bar".
Berry then invited her 5.7M followers to check out her Instagram Story for a glimpse at her routine curated by performance coach Bar Malik.
The actress, regularly shares her gym selfies and workout videos to Instagram, where she has expressed her love for the keto diet - she follows the diet religiously through Maria Emmerich's cookbook - which she attributes to losing weight and slowing down her aging process. These included Kettle ball Squat Press, Kettle Bell Swing, Kettlebell Lift, and Lunge.
Halle is definitely putting her back into this new project of hers. Is this enough to get you to watch Bruised, her upcoming fighting film?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bruised is the first film that Berry has directed.
"I didn't really set out to direct it, I set out to act in it", she said on an episode of The Big Ticket with Marc Malkin, per iHeart. And, it was written, at that time, for a 22-year-old white woman, which, obviously, can't be me. "After I saw John Wick 2, I researched how they did this". I knew how hard it was going to be... It begins filming in March 2020.
