Eagles RB Corey Clement moved to injured reserve list

NFL roster moves: Eagles promote Boston Scott, place Corey Clement on injured reserve | Here’s how swap impacts depth chart in Week 6

Eagles could promote Boston Scott to active roster as Corey Clement deals with shoulder injury

The Philadelphia Eagles are having depth issues at the running back position and could promote a player off the practice squad on Friday. "We obviously have Boston Scott on the practice squad, so that's a possibility for us".

Clement has been nursing a shoulder injury.

For weeks, the Eagles seemed like a strong candidate to potentially pull off a trade for a cornerback before the deadline at the end of the month, but since Jackson's timetable to return is still up in the air, adding a new receiver could be in the mix as well. In doing so, he received no offensive snaps, took three kickoff returns, and muffed his only punt return. That gave him the chance of making Philly's 2019 active roster, but his name was missing when the Eagles introduced their initial 53-man roster for 2019. The next year, he rushed the ball 68 times for 259 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching 22 passes for 192 yards. He's been mentioned as being "the next Darren Sproles", but after a total of four kick returns that netted the team 96 total yards in the regular season and another 54 yards on three kick returns in the 2018 NFC Playoffs, he signed a future-reserve deal.

Sproles injured his calf last week.

Running back Corey Clement was placed on injured reserve and running back Boston Scott was promoted from the practice squad. After missing Week 3′s loss to the Detroit Lions, Clement willed his way through the Eagles' two-game winning streak, serving in multiple roles on special teams.
