Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming to PC on 5th November, prior to that, Rockstar Games has revealed the system requirements for the PC version, with pre-orders now being taken on the Rockstar Games launcher. Improved lighting and textures, and increased draw distances are some things a player will notice as the graphics will take advantage of modern GPU hardware.
In addition to all those visual improvements, Rockstar have also confirmed that RDR2 will (finally) support HDR, as well as widescreen resolutions and multi-monitor setups.
Indeed, with talk of improved draw distances and higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for superior day and night lighting, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be quite the looker on PC - and I say that as someone who watched RPS video bud Matthew play countless hours of it on Xbox One X at the end of previous year, which is generally regarded by our friends at Digital Foundry to be the best-looking version of the game.
You'll find three new bounty hunter missions: tool thief Herman Zizendorf in Blackwater, former Confederate Camille de Millemont at Catfish Jacksons, and gang leader Bart Cavanaugh in Big Valley. There will also be two new gang hideouts to fight through with new Del Lobos hideouts in Gaptooth Breach and Solomon's folly.
Several new weapons available in story mode include the M1899 Pistol with magazine loaded ammunition.
The treasure maps will be found in Landmarks of Riches and The Elemental Trail maps.
Plus 3 new wild horse variations: Keep an eye out for wild herds featuring the Buttermilk Buckskin Kentucky Saddler, Liver Chestnut Morgan and Gold Palomino Tennessee Walker.
For now, the Rockstar Games Launchers is the only place you can pre-order the game digitally.
Shark Tooth - permanently increases horse bonding experience bonus by 10%.
Meanwhile, other PC platforms will be getting pre-order access on October 23, along with some lesser rewards.
Crow Beak - permanently increases looted ammo by 10%. If you want more details on how to preorder, check out the game's official site.
Gamers hoping to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC from other digital retailers are going to have to wait.
On PC, Red Dead Redemption 2 preorders will net you several bonuses, including the Outlaw Survival Kit, War Horse, Treasure Map, and Cash Bonus for Story Mode.
