We only have to wait a few extra hours as the episode will drop on the morning of October 10th at 8am. New episodes will be added to Netflix (Non-US) the day after they air all season long. Perry passed away last spring after most of the episodes were filmed.
Creator and ex ecutive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed: "I think everyone was - I don't want to say happy to have a catharsis - but when [Luke's death] happened we were kind of all scattered".
The fourth season premiere of Riverdale airs at 8 p.m.
And the cast were particularly thrilled to have Luke's good friend Shannen Doherty join them for the one-off episode to honour the late actor.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 heartthrob Perry died March 4 of this year, days after suffering a stroke at 52 years old.
This season might be the wildest season yet, based on what we've learned so far. There's so much of Luke in that show and in that character.
For our other characters, Archie will clearly be dealing with the death of his father throughout the season, and rest of the series.
The Gargoyle King (which we found out was all organised by Penelope Blossom) is over, the Black Hood (Hal Cooper) is now FINALLY dead, Chic is in jail and Jason Blossom is also definitely dead. She brought her brother's body from the Farm and is keeping it in her basement, as of the season 3 finale.
Episode two will start on a lighter note, though, and will put the show back into the high school realm. It will be interesting to see how all these characters can go back to living somewhat normal lives after everything that has happened.
It will be a particularly hard episode to watch, but there's no better way to pay tribute to Luke Perry than to dedicate the premiere to his memory.
