Barack Obama and Jay-Z Don't Share Their Phone Numbers, Call Privately, Says Chance the Rapper

Chance The Rapper teamed with James Corden for the latest installment of The Late Late Show's "Carpool Karaoke" series. "I have a person I could call that will say 'OK, I will have him call you.' It's the same with Jay-Z".

"Chance, I've known for years 'cause his dad was my state director when I was a senator in IL, so I first met Chance when he was 8 years old, and so we've been family for a while", Obama said in an interview with Sway in the Morning in 2016.

To which Chance replied: "I've been in that same kind of place".

According to the "Hot Shower" singer, another high-profile friend has a similar method of communication.

"It's the same way with JAY-Z", he revealed. The man born Chancelor Jonathan Bennett gave Corden a lesson in rapping, discussed his time working for Barack Obama's presidential campaign in 2008 and revealed he really doesn't like vegetables. Chano was the latest guest on James Corden's popular video segment Carpool Karaoke, where he got insanely hyped to his own songs, singing along with the comedian and telling some playful anecdotes about his relationships with Jay-Z, Barack Obama and Kanye West.

The Cocoa Butter Kisses hitmaker has revealed he has close connections with the former US President Barack Obama as well as music royalty Jay-Z and joked they were quite similar to contact - both speaking through their assistants and private phone numbers.

Noting that he has a direct line to Yeezy, he never knows where their plans will take them. "Do I get dressed and go out at 4 a.m.?" "Like, 'Am I about to follow Kanye to Milan or go to this date that I have planned?'"
