Pulisic added that Lampard has not given him advice on how to get on the field.
The American joined Chelsea from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for £57.6m after catching the eyes of the London side, helping the German side to a second-place finish in the process.
Pulisic found himself in a similar situation last season, as Jadon Sancho's emergence at Dortmund cut into his playing time.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has previously stated that Pulisic's time in the starting XI will come and that he's simply going through a period of adaptation to English football.
"Yeah, of course, it is very frustrating", Pulisic was quoted as saying by Pro Soccer Talk. Christian Pulisic understands that it is not going to be easy, but he enjoyed Chelsea, and he expects that there will be challenges along the way.
Christian Pulisic also noted that coming to Chelsea was tough, and he has to work hard. "I just have to keep working and I have to prove myself in training and try to get back in the line up".
He further stated that in the end, he was able to get minutes once again and played well until the end of the season.
"A huge part of any manager's job is to sit and work with the players - younger or older, but with younger players you want to pass on more knowledge and help them".
The Blues' 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday lifts them to joint-fourth in the Premier League table with a trip to Lille in the Champions League and an away tie at Southampton up next.
