With streaming platforms rushing to stir their own spoons in this content broth, will the taste sour? Some things go together, and so does food and streaming videos. However, this time it is not related to food. So Zomato is jumping right in, redefining food prime time. The videos will be available in the latest version of Zomato from September 16 onwards. They were primarily shot in a vertical frame, ideal for app-based mobile viewing, the company said.
The company said that under a "Videos" tab in the Zomato app, videos will be categorised by genre and users can watch 3-15 minute videos across shows, recipes and restaurant stories (Sneak Peek). Zomato will be launching over 2000 videos along with the Zomato originals.
All Zomato Original shows are around food across categories such as comedy, reality, fiction, advice, celebrity interviews will explore food in unique, engaging and entertaining videos.

"Starry meals with Janice" will feature Janice Sequeira touring kitchens of Bollywood actors and actresses like Diana Penty, Tapsee Pannu and Aditi Rao Hydari.
Though Zomato is touting a total of 18 shows by the end of the year, it has only announced six for now: a daily 3-minute "Food and You with Sanjeev Kapoor", in which the celebrity chef will use his years of knowledge to "break myths and change the way you think about food and your body".
Race Against the App - Neville Shah, Aadar Malik, and Kautuk Srivastava will race against the clock to finish their meal, trying to beat the clock to win. This fun game will surely be interesting to watch.
Deepinder Goyal, CEO and Founder, Zomato said in a statement, "We are constantly looking for new ways to engage our users around food". Goyal mentioned how most of their users visit the app several times a week and hence it presents them with the opportunity to delight fans further with the unbelievable initiative of Zomato Originals. The food aggregator company will launch 18 original shows within the next three months. India's favourite music channels 9XM, 9X Jalwa, 9X Jhakaas, 9X Tashan, 9XO are available Free-To-Air.
