Oppo A9 2020 smartphone was launched on 11th September 2019. However, the A5 (2020) phone is an inferior edition of the A9 (2020).
On the camera front, both the phones are equipped with a quad-camera setup. The Oppo A5 2020 is equipped with a 12-megapixel primary lens + an 8-megapixel 119-degree ultra-wide lens + 2-megapixel mono lens + 2-megapixel portrait lens. It comes with 4GB of RAM.
Powering the Oppo Reno 2 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For the front, the Oppo A9 2020 is loaded with a 16-megapixel shooter, while A5 2020 features an 8-megapixel shooter. The smartphone runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.1 and has 128GB of storage.
While the price remains a mystery, we were surprised and intrigued that the A9 2020 will have a pair of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos Sound Effects. The Game Boost 2.0 combines Frame Boost and Touch Boost for lag-free performance while gaming. It also features a dedicated microSD card slot that allows storage expansion by up to 256GB. It carries support for reverse charging, but there is no support for rapid charging. The new A-series have rear-mounted fingerprint sensors and carry support for face unlock.
The phone also has an upgraded 4,000mAh battery and comes with the company's in-house developed VOOC flash charge 3.0, which according to OPPO, can fill up the empty can from 9% to 80% in roughly under 40 minutes. Amazon India will begin its online sales on September 16 followed by offline market release on September 19.
Oppo Reno 2 is available in one storage variant priced at Rs 36,990.
The OPPO A5 (2020) color variants include Dazzling White and Mirror Black. The online sales of the smartphone will start on Amazon India and also through offline channels on September 21.
