Gears 5 studio apologizes for outages with free stuff

Gears 5 players getting 5 days of boost and 600 Scrap as apology for launch weekend troubles

Gears 5 Players to Get Five Day XP Boost and Scrap to Compensate For Launch Issues

Today, we welcome Gears 5 fans to Sera as Gears 5 officially releases around the world.

The in-game bonuses will be available free of charge for those who participated in the pre-launch phase of Gears 5, that is, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and the buyers of the Ultimate Edition of the new Gears of War (here is an interesting video comparison between Gears 5 and Gears of War 2 ). If you want to try the game with Xbox Game Pass, new subscribers can now get two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $2. There's also support for Xbox Live cloud saves as well as crossplay between Xbox, Windows 10 and Steam.

"Gears 5 is the culmination of an incredible journey after three years of passion and dedicated work by our studio team", said Rod Fergusson, Studio Head at The Coalition.

As a token of our appreciation in your persistence and assist throughout this weekend's Early Entry, we're awarding 5 days of Enhance (Sooner development) and 600 scrap (Craft Abilities or Provide playing cards).

Online games are known for bumpy launches, and Gears 5 was no exception. Speaking of bonus multiplayer items, do not forget to download and play by September 16 to unlock the Terminator Dark Fate Character Pack.
