The video will be a special 15-minute edit of the build now available to the media attending Gamescom, which will then be followed up with interviews with some of Cyberpunk's developers to provide context for the clip.
Additionally, there will be interviews with the developers and insight into their creative decisions.
What will be shown in the footage?
"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification". There is a variety of combat options at the player's disposal including ranged and melee weapons.
The talk of potential multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077 were brought back up last month when CD Projekt president Adam Kiciński and CEO Piotr Nielubowicz issued a statement that reportedly said one of the future Cyberpunk projects was a multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077.
Kicking off at 8pm CEST (7pm United Kingdom / 11am PT) on its Twitch and Mixer channels, the stream will feature an edit of what the studio's been showing to Gamescom attendees, followed by developer interviews discussing the footage. On the other hand, if that teaser passed under your radar, you can at least watch it now. "Hosting the entire thing will be our very own Hollie Bennett, our United Kingdom head of comms, and the dev line up will include some familiar faces you know and like", they say in the announcement.
CD Projekt RED also announced that while it initially planned to showcase gameplay at PAX West 2019, there has been a change of plans, which is why they are now streaming from Warsaw since they will not have an on-site development panel. It doesn't mean we're saying no multiplayer, but it doesn't mean we're saying yes either. Cyberpunk 2077 is set only in one place, and so the emphasis is on filling it to the brim with activities and intrigue.
CD Projekt Red also released a fresh batch of Cyberpunk 2077 screenshots this week, which you can see below.
