Karan Johar reacts to allegations of hosting a drug-fuelled party

Karan Johar’s Dream Cast For Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Reboot Is Simply The Most Exciting Thing We Have Heard In A While

Karan Johar gets trolled for his sexuality once again and this time the filmmaker uses the sarcasm card to retort

I took that video. The event was attended by Ayan Mukerji, Varun Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Shahid Kapoor among others. With all the earnestness, would I be putting out that video if there was anything happening at all? Even though another MLA had confirmed that nothing of that sort happened, he was adamant to stick to his judgement and even requested the Mumbai Police to file an FIR against all present at the party! On the allegations that Vicky looked strictly under the influence of a substance, he said that the Uri-actor was recovering from dengue and was having 'hot water and lime.' Karan was quoted saying, "Apparently you are not allowed to scratch your nose". In fact, he also says that it is quite clear that there was a shadow of some light and no powders involved. A while ago, Akali Dal spokesperson Manjinder Sirsa shared the video and alleged the stars to have been in a drugged state.

"Some of us were chatting and some of us were having wine, but that was it". So, when a troll tried to poke fun at KJo's sexuality, Karan Johar made sure to give him a befitting reply and shush him up in the most sarcastic way. He said, "My mother, 5 minutes before this video, was sitting with us". He has frequently been on the receiving end of negative homophobic comments and has also been told that his twins lack a mother's love.

Clearly upset about being targeted, Karan Johar added: "The reason I didn't put it out was because 'why do I need to justify a house party which was a casual get together with good friends?' How dare you grab it away from us?"

Citing the accusations as "baseless", Karan warned of taking a legal route if such accusations arise again. According to Karan Johar, it was a happy, family-type social gathering pepped with some good music, good food, and good conversation. "There was nothing else going on", he said. How dare somebody constantly make us soft target? On being asked why didn't he react all this while, Karan averred, "I don't react very well to these baseless accusations because that's what they were, baseless". "It is ridiculous that someone can start spotting these things", Karan said. You can not mar our solid reputations, our honest reputations our committed reputations just because you are presuming something.

Adding that he is now "afraid" to call up people at his home for get-togethers because he thinks that the guests might not just show up fearing this case. His line-up of films includes Brahmastra, Drive and Takht.
