Tool Streaming Title Song And Reveal Cover Of 'Fear Inoculum'

While "Tool news" isn't generally associated with IGN, the limited edition of Tool's highly-anticipated Fear Inoculum is a freaky and, ultimately really cool, mash up of technology and packaging.

Our first official taste of the new Tool album is finally here. "The collectible offering, which was conceived by and directed by Adam Jones, features a 4" HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2 watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card.

The 85-minute collection was produced by Tool together with engineer Joe Barresi (Melvins, Queens of the Stoneage, The Jesus Lizard), who also also worked with the band on 10,000 Days. "I wouldn't recommend it to the faint of heart - but it works for us".

Last week, Tool revealed the album title, Fear Inoculum, along with its artwork, which you can find below. It's a multi-movement epic piece that runs nearly 10 1/2 minutes that features some great guitar parts by Adam Jones, brilliant percussion work by Danny Carey, and those haunting, crunching basslines by Justin Chancellor.

Fear Inoculum is out 8/30 on RCA and is available for pre-order here.
