Rotherham United utility man Semi Ajayi has completed his move to West Brom for an undisclosed fee.
Rotherham boss Paul Warne confirmed earlier this week that the club had received bids from two Championship clubs for the highly-rated Nigeria worldwide. "I want to play at the highest level and I have joined a club with the ambition to get there", Ajayi said on the West Brom website.
Ajayi, who is a Nigeria worldwide with five caps to his name, scored eight goals in 49 appearances for Paul Warne's Rotherham in the last campaign, having scored five the season prior to help them gain promotion to the second tier.
"But I want to play at the highest level and it's exciting to be joining a club that wants to get back there, " summed up.Ajayi, who has been handed the No.6 shirt for the forthcoming Sky Bet Championship campaign.
He joins Kenneth Zohore and Filip Krovinovic as new arrivals at the Hawthorns this summer.
But they are keen to find players this summer just entering their prime with potential sell-on value.
The former Arsenal trainee, who is comfortable playing in the heart of the defense and as a defensive midfielder, has also been named by coach Gernot Rohr has one of the players he is banking on to replace the retired John Mikel Obi. He has a year left on his contract at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
But he is expected to be with the team in Scunthorpe today when Albion fans could catch their first glimpse of Zohore in blue and white stripes.
