WWE superstar Jeffrey Hardy arrested by Myrtle Beach police Jeffrey Hardy

It was Saturday morning that the WWE superstar was detained at a SC hotel.

It's unclear what exactly led to his arrest - we're working on getting more deets - but we're told he was released at some point Saturday on less than $200 bond.

TMZ reports that Jeff Hardy was arrested for public intoxication. According to a report by Heelbynature.com, an officer stated that due to it being an ordinance violation, nothing will likely happen since it is a misdemeanor.

Just a year ago, Hardy was charged with a DWI after crashing his auto in North Carolina while driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.25, three times the legal limit in the state.

Public intoxication can result in a fine of $500 and 30 days in jail. It was noted that he won't be required to appear in court if he doesn't want to contest the charge, and will not impact his ability to appear in the state of SC.

A person familiar with the local laws in Myrtle Beach described this offense as similar to a parking ticket.
