British-Pakistani Khan faces Australian Two-Time World ChampionBilly Dib at the King Abdullah Sport City stadium in Jeddah with the WBC International Welterweight title on the line, exclusively live in the United Kingdom on Channel 5 starting at 8pm on 5Spike.
Khan was within the welterweight limit at 146.4lbs while Australia's Dib was 145.3lbs.
Khan had returned to the ring just 12 weeks after urinating blood from body shots and being stopped by a punch to the groin in the sixth round at the hands of undefeated three weight world champion and top-ranked pound-for-pound boxer Terence Crawford at Madison Square Garden, New York, in a bid for the World Boxing Organisation crown.
Goyat will not recover in time to fight Amir on the scheduled date and promoter Bill Dosanjh of The Super Boxing League has moved quickly to secure Amir a new opponent in the World class former two-time World champion Dib.
Khan floored Dib in the second round with a ferocious left hook at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
Khan said, "I'm here in Saudi Arabia to make a major statement".
"Hopefully we come back again at the end of the year and bring Manny Pacquiao here".
"I slowed myself down a little bit instead of rushing all the time", he added.
A victory over Dib may lead to a potential mega showdown with superstar Manny Pacquiao, who takes on rival Keith Thurman next week in Las Vegas, that could take place later this year back in Saudi Arabia.
