Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly ready to renew their efforts to sign Brazil global Dani Alves after he left French club Paris-Saint-Germain. The 36-year-old defender has enjoyed a few days celebrating helping Brazil win the Copa America title.
Alves almost re-united with his former Barcelona boss back in 2017 only to have a last-second change of heart, opting for a PSG switch instead.
Alves lifted the Copa America on home soil with a 3-1 victory over Peru in the final this month, but has been without a club since his Paris Saint-Germain contract expired at the end of the 2018/19 season.
While Globoesporte reference Manchester City's previous interest in Alves, journalist Ducan Castles has thrown Spurs into the mix.
Globo Esporte claims that Alves wants to stay in Brazil contention into the 2022 World Cup, and that he wants to play for a top European team.
In fact, since he left Barcelona, Dani Alves has not won the Champions League title as he also failed while playing for Juventus.
