Fury was one of the heavyweight fighters who was deadset on a match with Joshua but after his historic loss, it seems as though Fury is much more interested in a rematch with Wilder.
"Look at me, 25 years old, fighting in Las Vegas on the undercard of the big fellow", says Lowe after the fight. "I hope everybody enjoyed it as much as I did".
That, however, all goes out the window if Fury gets upset this weekend.
"When a man doesn't want to be there once, he will always do it and it's hard to come back from", the former heavyweight champion, who will face Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas on Saturday, told BBC Sport.
Now, Ruiz and Schwarz aren't completely comparable, as Ruiz had challenged for a recognized world title prior to meeting Joshua, but they are comparable in the fact that Ruiz was not given a chance against Joshua and Schwarz isn't being given a chance against Fury.
Fury had entered the ring wearing robe, trunks and hat designed in the American flag while the James Brown standard "Living in America" played.
And after the bout, Fury showed off his decent singing voice.
"I'll have fought the best in the world and won against the best of the world".
"The key to tonight was to enjoy myself", said Fury, whose career record now reads 28-0-1. "I hurt my right hand in the fourth round, so I was limited as to what I could do in there". I was slipping and sliding. I caught him with the straight left. It could put anybody away.
In the second, Fury came out in the southpaw stance, and immediately appeared to have more power. He dropped Schwarz with a right hand, and though Schwarz popped up quickly, it was clear the end was near. Despite what many are saying about Schwarz, Fury needs to ignore it. Referee Kenny Bayless stopped it at roughly the same moment Schwarz's corner threw the white towel into the ring.
The 6-foot-5 Schwarz is highly ranked by the WBO, but he had never fought outside his native Germany or the Czech Republic before Fury's camp picked him for this showcase bout.
Andy Ruiz Jr wants his rematch with Anthony Joshua to take place at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. I'll be the best in the world. "Deontay Wilder is not going five rounds with him. We will have another fight (on October 5), then we will fight Wilder".
Fury has continued to work his way back from a 31-month layoff where he battled mental illness and weight gain.
The finish was impressive, as he landed a good three-punch combination on the chin of Schwarz, forcing the German to take a knee. He beat Klitschko so he's the best.
