Cuba Gooding Jr. was accused of groping a woman at a rooftop bar in New York City this past Sunday.

"I trust the system", the 51-year-old told TMZ in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

TMZ has now caught up the Men of Honor actor who has denied the allegations but will turn himself into the police on Thursday where he will be booked for a misdemeanor charge of forcible touching.

But the NYPD told Fox News on Wednesday they had no information regarding Gooding's surrender. After the alleged incident, the woman reportedly got into an argument with Gooding that had to be broken up by security and he was seen leaving the nightclub shortly after.

"There's a tape that shows what really happened", Gooding Jr. told TMZ. An attorney for the actor did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment.

Asked about the reported allegation on Monday, NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Brown said, "We don't really have anything official to say about it other than that there's been an allegation and that it is now under investigation".

Gooding won the Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1997 for his portrayal of an athlete in the film "Jerry Maguire".

Gooding starred as O.J. Simpson in FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson and played Dominic Banks on American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
