Three Teen Soccer Players Struck By Car, Killed, Identified

A driver crashed into three South Florida soccer teammates who were waiting for their bus Saturday morning, killing the teens.

All three were members of the Little Haiti Soccer Club and they were waiting for a bus to take them to a soccer tournament in Weston when they were struck by a auto at 1313 NE 125 Street early Saturday morning. The report said they did on impact at 5:22 a.m.

Rescue crews rushed to the scene along NE 125th Street and 13th Avenue where the SUV was found mangled in the middle of the road.

The Miami Herald reports the teammates were standing on a sidewalk when they were hit by the auto Saturday morning.

The victims - Gideon Desir, 13, Lens Desir, 15, Richecarde Dumay, 17 - were on their way to a soccer tournament at the time, according to police. Our Kicker Richecarde Dumay passed away in a tragic vehicle accident this morning while heading to his soccer championship game. The driver of the auto was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Police are investigating the incident.

"Please help with the cost of the funerals and expenses for the families of Gedeon, Lens, and Richecarde, killed in this horribly tragic accident", the organizers said.
