Lisa Kudrow Says She Felt 'Bigger' Than Co-Stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston on 'Friends'

During her time playing Phoebe Buffay on the wildly successful sitcom Friends, Lisa Kudrow was in a constant battle with her body image.

On Monday, the 55-year-old actress appeared on Marc Maron's WTF podcast where she opened up about the struggles to maintain her weight while starring in the iconic comedic sitcom.

Lisa also stressed that she used to get ill easier because she was "too thin". 'When I was too thin, I was sick all the time. "I was always sick".

"Because you see yourself on TV and it's that, 'Oh my god, I'm just a mountain of a girl.' I'm already bigger than Courteney and Jennifer", Kudrow said, adding that, although she realizes she's taller, she just felt bigger overall.

'I just felt like this mountain of a woman next to them, ' she added.

Kudrow confessed that there have been times when she did not feel comfortable with herself.

Now however, the star faces "a whole battle" to feel more at peace with her own body, and she insisted she is in a place where she can accept growing older. 'I end up with, "So what?" So, alright. You're older.

She told the comedian she would often compare herself to her female co-stars Jennifer Aniston, 50, who played Rachel Green, and Courteney Cox, 54, who played the part of Monica Geller, both of whom sported more preppy styles than Lisa's character, who was the more daring dresser of the group, often donning quirky and extravagant outfits. "Why is that a bad thing?'"

"I mean, anyone who has friends for a long time I think can relate. I might not like myself [on the show], so I'd rather not risk that".

"I know that whatever I have to do in life, if there's something that I signed on [to], I know that she'll be my first call", Cox added. Just how thrilling that was.

"We just laughed the whole night".
