Stephen Colbert introduced BTS in the way The Beatles was presented when they made their first US television appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1964. Colbert was pretty great as a host and had dressed like Ed Sullivan himself too.
The band was introduced by Colbert (in black and white), who talked about "BTSmania" with Ed Sullivan flair. For BTS' The Late Show debut, the seven band members of the Korean pop boy band donned the same outfit that the Beatles rocked in the 60s.
Yesterday, BTS was at The Late Show and some exciting things happened.
The new segment was recorded in black-and-white, with a bit of a tease: "Exactly 50 years later, plus five more years, three months, six days, a new batch of mop-topped heartthrobs has landed". "They really are a fine group of youngsters, in fact, you can call them the fab seven. It has a nice ring to it", said Colbert as he channeled the late American TV personality Sullivan.
BTS, which consists of members J-Hope, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga, Jin and RM, sat down for an interview with Colbert where they individually introduced themselves and praised their dedicated fans. He told the audience they all go by the same nickname-"the cute one." LOL.
