Flair Is In Hospital After Suffering 'Very Serious' Medical Emergency

Wrestling icon Ric Flair was hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency in Atlanta, according to TMZ.

As of writing, it is now unclear if this match is still going ahead given The Nature Boy's hospitalization.

"Ten days on life support, it'll wake you up, man", he told ESPN afterward.

Thompson offered no comment on the specifics of the procedure, but did say that Flair and his family knew that the procedure was coming up.

The 70-year-old Flair is a 16-time world champion in the National Wrestling Alliance, World Championship Wrestling, and World Wrestling Entertainment organizations. Flair posted the same photo and caption on Instagram as well. "I didn't think I was an alcoholic, but obviously I was", he told PEOPLE Magazine in September 2017.

I'm guessing we're going to hear the word "brother" being used at least seven hundred and nineteen times.

A tweet on Flair's account appeared on Thursday afternoon (BST) of a throwback of himself and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Doctors removed part of his bowel and installed a pacemaker to control his heartbeat.

In his book, 'Ric Flair: To Be the Man, ' he admitted to suffering from alcoholic cardiomyopathy, which is a heart problem caused by prolonged alcohol abuse.

"I had one vice", Flair noted to Sports Illustrated. My vice was drinking.

"Happy Mother's Day Wendy!"
